About Pets for Angels · East Bay
Compassionate care from a veterinarian who understands
For more than 25 years, Dr. David Bennett has cared for the pets of the East Bay. Pets for Angels is where that lifetime of experience meets one gentle purpose: helping beloved companions say goodbye with peace and dignity, at home.
Meet Dr. David Bennett, DVM
Dr. David Bennett is a compassionate, experienced veterinarian devoted to dignified end-of-life care for pets in the comfort and familiarity of home. Over more than two decades in practice, he has come to understand the profound bond between animals and their families — and how much it matters that a final goodbye be gentle, unhurried, and private.
Through Pets for Angels, he offers something a busy clinic often cannot: a calm, personal, deeply respectful farewell, given in the place your pet feels safest.
In Dr. Bennett's words
After years spent in the medical, surgical, and wellness side of veterinary medicine, I came to realize that my training and intuition have their greatest impact in the most trying moments of a pet's life. Every part of my professional experience goes into the gentle sedation, anesthesia, and euthanasia of a beloved companion — so that their final moments are calm, free of pain, and full of dignity.
When a family is at their most vulnerable, it is deeply rewarding to help them begin the journey of grief and come to terms with the loss of someone they love. Letting a pet go takes courage — courage that comes more easily when you know I am standing beside you, giving you permission to make such a difficult decision. The hardest part is trusting that the decision is the right one, and the confidence I can offer a family in that moment is, to me, worth as much as any medical or surgical skill I carry. Helping you find the strength for this final act of kindness is the most meaningful work I do.

Our mission
At Pets for Angels, our mission is to provide compassionate, professional, and stress-free in-home euthanasia and end-of-life care throughout Contra Costa County and the East Bay. We believe every pet deserves a peaceful, dignified goodbye — surrounded by the people who love them, in the place they know best.
Our approach
We create a calm, supportive space where families can say goodbye with confidence that their pet is receiving expert, gentle care. Coming to your home removes the stress of travel and the clinic, gives your family private time together, and keeps your pet comfortable and at ease until the very end. There is no rushing, and no judgment — only the time and tenderness this moment deserves.
